The Waitsfield United Church of Christ Arts Team presents a Lenten Art Show, “Morning Meditations” by Julia Purinton

The Waitsfield United Church of Chris (WUCC) Village Meeting House is pleased to present a Lenten Art Show, "Morning Meditations" by Julia Purinton.  “Morning Meditations” will be open to the public on Saturday, March 19th and Saturday, March 26th from Noon to 4:00 PM upstairs at the WUCC Village Meeting House.

"Longer Days" by Julia Purinton

Julia's work explores her memories and complex emotions that illuminate many aspects of personal growth in response to natural moments. She is deeply concerned about habitat devastation and offers solace for the soul through her expressions. Julia also uses her palette to create landscapes that support environmental causes in the Mid-Atlantic region and New England.  Julia is a local fine artist who lives in the Valley.  Her extensive professional Biography and Artist Statement are available to read at the show.

"Let your mind enter into one of Julia’s paintings," said Jane Cunningham, co-chair of the WUCC Arts Team.  "Each one of her landscapes is a meditational prayer." Visitors will enjoy the lush landscape imagery, a perfect antidote to the end of Winter and Lent. The paintings will be displayed in the sanctuary during worship services through Good Friday, April 15th.

“Morning Meditations” will be open to the public on Saturday, March 19th and Saturday, March 26th from Noon to 4:00 PM upstairs at the Waitsfield United Church of Christ, Village Meeting House, 4355 Main Street, Waitsfield, VT.  For more information go to www.waitsfieldchurch.org or call (802) 496-3065.
