WUCC Ministry Teams

The Waitsfield United Church of Christ has five covenented ministries.

spiritual life ministry

The Spiritual Life Ministry is comprised of the Board of Deacons and the Arts Team. 

Board of Deacons works collaboratively with the Minister and is responsible for the spiritual life and well-being of the congregation, including the enhancement of worship through the use of spoken word, music, and the arts.

The Board of Deacons also supports fellowship, coffee hour & other church functions.

The Arts Team works in consultation with the Board of Deacons and Minister. The Arts Team is responsible for art shows or any other special art-related projects in the church. The Arts Team also provides assistance for the artwork for worship services in the church.

Mission & Outreach

This Ministry drives traditional mission initiatives focused on the church and greater community.

Finance Ministry

The Finance Ministry provides financial counsel and advice to the Church Council. It includes the following teams:

Stewardship communicates with the Church family, reminding them that financial stewardship is a critical element of our spiritual lives, as well as the lives of our ministries. In addition, the commitment of time and talents enables the Church to further its mission.

Fundraising works with the congregation, the Church Council, and the Minister, to raise money to support the Church’s mission and ministries aside from contributions from church Members and friends.

Facilities oversees all issues concerning the building and grounds of the Church. They manage immediate repair needs and develop long range plans, including improvements and projects.

Investment receives, invests, and manages all investment funds. The Trustees of the church are Douglas Graham, Susan Klein & Andy Cook.

Christian Education

The Christian Education Ministry supports us through our spiritual journey. From Adult Bible Class or Book Study to Sundays in the Sanctuary, the WUCC offers many opportunities for God’s children of any age to grow in their faith.

Administration ministry

The Administration Ministry is responsible for public relations & communications including the monthly newsletter and website management. This team also maintains church records and organizes Annual & Special Meetings.

WUCC’s family is committed to putting their faith into action. Although these teams are not specified in the Constitution & By Laws, they extend our mission through their good work.
