Our History… Recorded

At the 2017 Annual Meeting, Ruth Pestle expressed her concern that the church property had been relocated while the building renovation was in progress. The property included furniture, art, etc. In response to Ruth’s concern, the congregation appointed an “inventory” committee.  The committee included Ruth, Fred Messer and Rick Rayfield. At the same meeting, Rick volunteered to be Ann Bull's assistant historian.

The goal of the “inventory” committee was to categorize, document or photograph the church’s property. Rick created the “inventory website.” The website currently includes photos of Ann’s & Angelika’s wall hangings, flags and other artifacts.

In 2018, Ann resigned as historian and Rick was appointed to the role. Rick added the Waitsfield United Church of Christ’s history resources to the website and renamed it to “WUCC History & Inventory.”
