2015 Capital Campaign
2015 Capital Campaign
The Waitsfield United Church’s Village Meeting House has wound down its Capital Campaign, and you are invited to spend a couple minutes to learn more about the impact this building – and what happens within its walls – has on the Mad River Valley….
Campaign Launch Details
The Village Meeting House embarked on a capital campaign of $375,000 to renovate the common areas/community spaces of its facility, along with other critical maintenance items that exceed the congregation’s ability to fund. Those items included safety and accessibility improvements, energy efficiency work and flood-damage mitigation. READ THE CASE STUDY, HERE.
Community Development Block Grant Received
The Village Meeting House received a Community Block Grant in March 2016 to cover much of the flood mitigation projects that could not be funded in the capital campaign, including adding 2 ADA accessible restrooms, moving utilities from the basement to a new addition, above the 100 year flood zone, and related projects.
