BUILDING Use Policy & Agreement | VILLAGE MEETING HOUSE
We’re pleased that you are interested in using the Village Meeting House (VMH) for your event or gathering. Many in our community have given much to make sure the building is safe, accessible, pleasant, functional, kid-friendly and open for use by the community.
Rules & Policies
Please leave the space the way you found it.
Trash and recycling containers are in the back room behind the kitchen.
There is no alcohol, tobacco or cannabis use allowed in the building or on the grounds.
Firearms are not permitted in the building or on the grounds.
Any damage to the space is your sole responsibility. The Village Meeting House assumes no responsibility for personal injury or damage to your personal property. We do not insure any part of your rental.
Events designed for unrelated children and youth under 18 require the responsible party to read and consent to the Safe Church Policy Concerning Abuse Prevention - including filling out the Liability and Disclosure Form - and agree to a criminal records and sex offender registry background check.
Fee Schedules
The Village Meeting House wishes to be available to the community at fair and affordable rates. General rental fee guidelines:
* For profit organizations: $25 per hour, with an additional $10 per hour for full kitchen use (meals and cooking)
* Private groups: $25 per hour, with an additional $10 per hour for full kitchen use (meals and cooking)
* Non-profit Organizations: $15 per hour, with an additional $5 per hour full kitchen use (meals and cooking)
* There is a minimum $25 fee for any use.
* Kitchen use is free for coffee/tea/snacks.
* Fees may be negotiated for recurring events such as weekly classes or meetings.
* Fees are determined, negotiated, and waived at the discretion of the VMH Building Administrator.
* Once we receive a signed agreement, we will invoice you directly for the agreed upon services.
