We are pleased to announce that the congregation voted for the Reverend Mark D. Wilson to be called to serve the Waitsfield United Church of Christ as our settled Pastor and Teacher this past Sunday July 12. He begins with us on October 1st and his first Sunday leading us in worship will be October 4, 2020. During this bridge time we are thankful to have Reverend Barbara Purinton as our Bridge Pastor providing leadership for our congregation.

Rev. Mark D. Wilson considers Bath, Maine, his hometown.  He graduated from Colby College in 1989 (English) and from Bangor Theological Seminary with an M. Div. in 2008.  He served the Popham Beach Chapel for 7 years, the Phippsburg Congregational Church, UCC, for 16 years, and is winding up his ministry at the Waterville, Maine UCC, where he has been for the last 6 years.  He enjoys choral music, children’s books, and fishing.  He prefers to be called Mark.
